WHAT TO EXPECT

As women, we're often overlooking our own needs and taking care of others.  It's important to take the time to check in with ourselves to see how we're doing mentally, physically, and emotionally.  And though a spa day is always welcome, why not treat yourselves to the healing powers of nature.

Our workshops are geared toward anyone who identifies as a woman.  Our goal is for everyone to leave here feeling comfortable enough to plan their own trip, confident enough to paddle their own canoe, strong enough to lift it over their head, and empowered to set off into the backcountry.

We have created a fun and safe environment for you to learn and practice the skills required to plan your backcountry canoe trip; from map reading and gear selection to shouldering and carrying your canoe, you'll be able to head out into the backcountry with confidence... And maybe with a few new friends!

So if you're a woman, trans-woman or non-binary friend who wants to go deeper into the backcountry but just don't know where to start, or you'd like to plan and execute your own trip, or you don't feel confident in a canoe or just simply want to brush up on some skills, then this workshop is for you!

Workshop Types

Paddle Like A Girl Workshop The Full-Day Experience

This full-day workshop (approx 8 hours) is packed with engaging, hands-on activities to equip you with the skills and confidence to plan and execute your backcountry canoe trip.

We’ll keep you fueled with lunch, water, and snacks throughout the day. This is more than just a workshop—it’s a day to connect with like-minded adventurers, grow your skills, and leave feeling confident, strong, and ready for the wilderness.

Join us in a supportive, judgment-free environment where you’ll gain practical knowledge, make connections, and tap into your inner strength.

The Camping Experience

  • Full Workshop Curriculum: All the same skills and lessons from the Paddle Like A Girl Workshop.

  • Overnight Camping: Spend the night in the backcountry, sleeping in a tent and cooking meals over a fire.

  • Morning Reflection: Start your day with a guided journaling or yoga session to center your mind and body.

  • Delicious Fare: Enjoy breakfast by the fire before heading out, feeling refreshed and accomplished.

This extended workshop is your chance to fully immerse yourself in the backcountry lifestyle while building confidence in a supportive, empowering space.
